Happy 50th Birthday, Malaysia!
Though our country is filled with rubbish everywhere, the weather here sucks, foreigners think that we live on trees, being ranked third least courteous country in the world, horrible traffic and reckless Malaysian drivers and so on.
I'm sure every country has its own bad, problems here and there, mayhem running havoc. But for sure, there are good stuffs too, which probably outnumber the bad ones a million to one.
Like, living in a multiracial society, where we still can live in peace and harmony; though SOME portion might be a little racist. And, not to mention we have awesome food, seriously! We get all varieties of food, from chinese chicken rice to malay nasi lemak and to indian roti canai. We do have a lot of to pick from, don't we? You will never had to worry about what to eat if you stay in Malaysia.
Gee, I sound so patriotic. Oh well, I'm just here to wish you all a Happy Independence Day. Don't just sit at home and do nothing. Get all dressed up and go somewhere to celebrate. May it be the Dataran Merdeka or some shopping mall, just get your butts up.
Paint your face with Jalur Gemilang stripes if you think it is necessary or hold a mini Malaysian flag in your hands while counting down, take pretty pictures of the fireworks and scream "merdeka" at top of your lungs if you don't mind attracting some attention. It doesn't hurt to be a little more proud of your country. After all, this is where you were born.
Have fun you all. So here's my toast, to every single Malaysian reading this.
Happy Independence Day! I ♥ Malaysia. :)
